As a patient using the SigmaMD mobile app, you have the ability to initiate new visits with your clinician. Here's how you can navigate this feature:
Patient-Initiated Visits
- Access the Care Screen: Open the SigmaMD app and tap on the Care screen from the bottom navigation.
- Starting a New Visit: On the Care screen, you'll find a New Visit floating button located at the bottom right. Simply press it to initiate a new visit.
- Choosing a Practice: If you're associated with multiple practices, a selection prompt will appear. Choose the practice with which you'd like to start the new visit.
- Selecting the Type of Visit:
- You'll be presented with two primary visit options:
- Experiencing Troubling Symptoms: Choose this if you're facing specific health concerns or symptoms. This option will lead you through a series of questions to provide the clinician with more information about your current state.
- General Visit: Opt for this if you have general questions, concerns, or discussions that aren't necessarily symptom-specific.
- You'll be presented with two primary visit options:
- Notification to Clinician: Once you've created the visit, your clinician is promptly notified. They will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible, ensuring a continuous flow of communication.
Clinician-Initiated Visits
If a clinician starts a new visit for you, you will receive a notification on your mobile device. It's essential to enable app notifications to ensure you don't miss any important communications.
